What are Playschemes?
GAS Playscheme services offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities that focus on developing children’s social and communication skills, as well as providing respite for parents and carers.
Who are they for?
The Playschemes are open to children of school age (up to 18 years) with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASCs).
When do Playschemes run?
The Playschemes run at weekends during school term time and on weekdays during school holidays.
Where are they held?
Playschemes are held at our premises on Carnie Drive in Central Aberdeen.
How can I access this service?
Referrals for Playschemes come from private individuals or via the Social Work department. All new children and parents/carers are offered the opportunity to visit the Playschemes before taking up a place.
We are regularly inspected by the Care Inspectorate and our most recent report can be accessed directly here.
