Board members and staff look forward to welcoming visitors to our Open Day at our Carnie Drive premises in Aberdeen on Monday 1st April, marking the start of World Autism Awareness Week 2019.
Tom Wilson, who is a director of GAS and has a wealth of experience with autism, will speak at this event, about the challenges and opportunities that autism brings, as well as advising on ways to minimise barriers to inclusion. Tom has an adult son with an autism spectrum diagnosis. He was also employed by Aberdeen City Council as a teacher within their Autism Outreach Team.
There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the services GAS provides, and to give your views about what is needed.
The Open Day will be running from 11 am to 3 pm, with the talk scheduled from 12 noon to 1 pm – though you can drop in for whatever time suits you. To find out more, please phone the GAS office on 01224 277900.
